In the Channels Individual Customers-tribe we empower our Customer Journey tribes in Danske Bank to efficiently build world-class banking experiences on top of our web and mobile-based channels.

You have the unique opportunity to join a well-functioning tribe of 170 people and 14 cross functional squads.

As a frontend chapter lead, you will, besides being a frontend developer yourself, be HR responsible for developers and other skilled Frontend engineers (React Native and native mobile development technologies) working within the squads focusing on our mobile platform and mobile banking app.

Besides being an HR leader, you will support the Tribe IT leadership in doing strategic decisions by applying your domain knowledge.

You will work closely together with the Tribe IT Lead (you will report to the Tribe IT lead), Tribe Architect and the other Chapter Leads to ensure we attract, develop and retain a team of highly skilled and motivated people with a great team spirit :

• You will be participating in embedding best engineering practices
• You will be responsible for uplifting people and process capabilities
• You will be driving tech uplift initiatives
• You are responsible for your chapter and support chapter members in any need they have related to HR or their area of competence

Your day-to-day work will be in the cross-functional squad Mobile Frontend that owns the Mobile Bank frontend architecture and infrastructure.

You?ll play a critical role in driving our journey to our new mobile platform, as well as developing and maintaining our mobile banking app and mobile CI / CD pipelines.

You?ll also support our many customer journey squads that delivers features to the mobile banking app. As a member of Mobile Frontend your work will be highly visible and influence more than 70 developers contributing to the Mobile Bank.

You will further more have 11 direct reports, where half is placed in the same squad as you and the rest is placed in other cross functional squads in our tribe.

What We Imagine About You

Either, you have been a leader for some years, with an engineering background. Or you come from a senior or chief developer position, with the interest and motivation to try out leadership.

As Chapter Lead you are a supportive and listening leader, with a strong technology base :

• You are a catalyst leader and embody that in your approach to your work and employees
• You have a technical profile and ability to develop and motivate others and at the same time have a good understanding of IT architecture and solution design
• You have a natural interest in seeing, challenging and fixing areas which could be improved, both in and outside our tribe
• Experience working in an Agile setup is an advantage, but not a prerequisite

Essential :

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development covering all phases from design and build to deploy and run
• Tech savvy frontend engineer who enjoys contributing into cross functional squads
• Committed to empower and facilitate others? development
• Experience with React Native and Native iOS / Android development
• Mobile CI / CD pipelines
• Ready to challenge the status quo, to take the initiative and responsibility, and to be a leading player in a self-organizing and agile set-up
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken and are ready to communicate on a daily basis with team members across locations

Preferred :

• Experience in Agile people management
• Full-stack experience
